Its aim was to raise awareness of security procedures and public safety standards applied in the hotel sector.
The workshop was organized in conjunction with the upcoming holiday season, which typically sees a significant influx of tourists, with the goal of enhancing hotel security readiness and ensuring the safety of guests and staff. The workshop covered several important topics, including the role of the tourism police in interacting with tourists, mechanisms to strengthen tourism security, as well as training participants on fire response and the use of various firefighting equipment. Additionally, it addressed safe evacuation plans to be implemented in emergency situations.
A practical training segment was also included, focusing on proper security inspections, identifying certain types of explosives, and handling them safely to ensure the safety of all. The workshop was attended by 25 hotel security managers and their assistants, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange experiences and acquire practical skills that contribute to improving hotel security.
The Jordan Hotels Association emphasized that this workshop is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance security awareness in the tourism sector and ensure a safe environment for guests and visitors. The Association also praised the fruitful cooperation with the Public Security Directorate in organizing this workshop, which directly supports the sustainability of the tourism sector and strengthens visitor confidence in the Kingdom’s tourism establishments.
